Laura V. Santiago, 15, of Avon CT., passed away peacefully Saturday, January 4th at Sloan Kettering in New York. Born in Hartford, Connecticut October 20th, 1987, beloved daughter of Dr. Joanne A. Santiago of Avon, Connecticut. Laura was a sophomore at Avon High School and had the distinction of being an honorary Rotarian member of the Avon/Canton Rotary Club. Besides her mother, she is survived by her  beloved sister Joelle M. Santiago of Avon, her aunt, Judge Ramona A. Santiago of Newark, NJ, her two uncles Dr. Philip T. and his wife Susan M. Santiago of Booton Township, NJ and Dr James J. Santiago of Newark, NJ, her two cousins, Jessica Diaz and Gregory Diaz both of Newark , NJ. She was the granddaughter of the late Drs. Joseph and Vivian Santiago formerly of Colonia, NJ. Friends may call at the Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main Street, RT. 4, Unionville Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral procession from the Ahern Funeral Home will be Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Church of St., Ann, Avon CT at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will take place at the Holy Family Mausoleum in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
